A White House spokesman said American President Donald Trump has been informed of the shooting and is monitoring the situation.
The base at Pensacola, according to data published on its website, employs more than 16,000 soldiers and 7,400 members of civilian staff. This is the second case of fatal shooting at US military bases this week. On Wednesday, a soldier killed two employees in Pearl Harbor of Havana.
