The value of institution creation can lead to migration

Economic Oda leaders in Kosovo have called for faster establishment of institutions, which, as they have expressed, at the beginning of next year, will be a functional government with which they can talk to the economy.

Kosovo Economic Ode Director Berat Rukiqi, at a news conference, said that the period of non-creating institutions is an additional reason that has negatively affected the privacy of doing business, initiated by local companies, and then sent negative signals to foreign investors.

“The value of institution creation is of irreparable damage to the economy and can create from this that we have economic growth can go into something that is not only aggression but also problematic then in the sense of keeping people here, it can result in migration and consequences in the entire structure of the country. So we want to believe that politicians will be reasonable and at the beginning of the year we have a functional government that we can talk to about what is important to us, economy and private sector as the host of the country's economic development”, he said.

According to him, what has also affected is the preliminary period in charge of the topic of dialogue and other topics that, according to him, have more of a connotation of day-to-day policies and close competition between political parties.

These said Rukiqi, have also hampered reform in fiscal policy and economic policy and has resulted in a halt to many investments.

The Arian Zeka, director of the American Economic Ode, said that during 2019 there was no breakthrough in attracting foreign investment.

At this conference, both lack of legal security and unpredictable, where, according to Rukiqi, no one is willing to enter an unpredictable environment where a government or parliament can bring unthinking decisions that could then have consequences in the entire country's economy.

While for the wage law, he said the Constitutional Court's decision is appropriate, meanwhile stressed that in 2020, this law would have to take into account the economic context they are passing.
