The University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK) and regional hospitals have remained without supply with carbon dioxide (in operations is filled with gas so as to be better seen).
This lack is expected to continue further, because economic operators are not interested in making supply with this gas.
Public health institutions in the country are still facing a lack of carbon dioxide, which is used for various operations in Kirurgy, gynecology, and other departments. QKUK and regional hospitals in the country are currently without this gas, which is used in operations and is deemed extremely important.
Disturbing patients have told “Zit” that the absence of CO2 is causing problems at the time they have to enter operations, especially in the Gynecology Clinic.
During this year, even regional hospitals had been told the paper that in the absence of this gas they had to postpone electronic operations. These hospitals have said that supply problems have had several times this year. And carbon dioxide has been lacking for months, which has made it difficult for the health staff.
