The stalemate between the two political forces in the coalition is the president. While Haziri is optimistic that an agreement with the VV will be reached, though there are only two days left.
Haziri finds that an opportunity to reach the agreement is also with the VV to postpone the president's case for another moment.
Asked whether the LDK has a name for the head of state in Kosovo, he said it does not have one, but prefer a consensual president.
There is a deadlock for the talks and has to do with the president's case, the VV says the LDK has been barricaded and this LDK barricaded has caused this situation. While we're only three days before the new Paralment meets. Is your request to have the president equal?
Haziri: There is no way to be treated as political barricade is the opposite LDK has shown willingness and good will to reach an agreement, which, in large or large measure, has been concluded. Our constitutional role in central institutions remains to be involved.
We have to work together that a common name would end the deal. I think it's spending political oxygen, it's a commitment, a new formulation in the new arrangement that can solve this is. We're trying to reach a breathing deal. The wait is great. We will work to reach this agreement. We're working with no intermediates and no foreign mediators for the first time in our Republic to reach an agreement that breathes democracy in this country. We will work on reaching this agreement as soon as possible.
Do you have a name for the President?
Haziri: We have no name because our political tradition does not prejudge the name outside the time it should be chosen. The president is expected to be in office in March, the mandate is very clear. Without agreeing to both sides for a name, there can be no appointment of partners. If that doesn't happen, there are two risks. The first danger is that coalition parties will work on a name or support the current president, claiming to create a majority. The second is that we will come into a political crisis that leads to early elections because of the inability to elect the president.
Because it's a threat to the government's collapse.
Haziri: Of course. The ability of the Parliament to elect the president is to dismantle the Parliament.
At your request is it that the LDK produce a candidate from its ranks or a consensual name from the academic world or people of well-known value?
Haziri: We believe that the name of the LDK has to be done in honor of nomination. We have given two presidents, Ibrahim Rugova and Fatmir Sejdiu. Virtually the LDK's commitment is to provide consensual president. Past presidents have been political, but historical forms. Now we will offer names that we will discuss with our partners and build a consensus.
It seems that the VV is not ready at all in the sense of promoting this request of the LDK and says that when the time comes for the president we discuss it, you who ask that this issue be put into the package now and that the VV wants to be left or have a paragraph to agree on principle and discuss, what happens?
Haziri: Political distrust is one of the ditches that is dividing us the most. If the prime minister is acceptable to all of us, even one president should come to the same sense. I too commit myself to a president beyond the coalition frame
What if you can't agree?
Haziri: We'll get to a definition and the President's case will be exceeded. This can be handled in the coming days. It's enough time.
If you don't agree to this case you're going to retreat?
Haziri: We are clear either coalition with VV or opposition.
You are prepared if no agreement is reached Thursday to meet a Parliament to serve itself
Haziri: I believe that as far as it will be put in place, if the LDK is introduced there is no proposal for chairman of the Parliament. I believe that 2-3 options on the table define the plan.
What offer would that be?
Haziri: It could still be the choice of definition for the President.
