The ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Federal Republic of Germany, Bequaj, has been invited by December 4th to the German Government's Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs, according to the Kosovo Embassy in Germany.
At this meeting, Ambassador Cufaj was hosted by the director of this ministry, Mr. Guido Zilke with accomplices.
After reviewing relevant aspects of co-operation between the two key states of the meeting, it has been the mutual recognition of the crutches between the two countries following the official application that Kosovo has made autumn 2018.
- Zielke has announced Ambassador Cufaj that Germany's government supports the mutual recognition of drivers' license between Kosovo and Germany.
The process in question has marked visible progress and is being worked to quickly reach the conclusion of this process, which from the German side to the technical level is closed by the ministry in question and the respective ministers of the 16 German republics at their annual Conference. Kosovo has noted progress in this process.
- Zielke has announced that a delegation of this ministry in January will travel to Kosovo to see the situation on the ground as well: the situation with the testing centres, the production of driver's license, and especially the review of the situation in terms of road safety in Kosovo -- as the process is particularly linked to security aspects and especially the number of accidents in the streets of Kosovo.
Ambassador Cufaj has also been told that the government of Germany is fully aware of the need and necessity of completing this process, so the urgency of this visit.
