The resolution requires that the Lebanese militant group be placed on the EU list of terrorist groups.
A spokesman for Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Party MP group, Matthias Middleberg, said the resolution was adopted in consultation with the Social Democratic Party coalition, but also with opposition parties, the AP reports.
It is unacceptable for Hezbollah to lead a terrorist campaign against Israel in the Middle East, financed through numerous criminal activities. We ask the government to stop all Hezbollah activities in Germany,” said Middleberg.
He said that the gap between political and military activities should be abandoned and Hezbollah should be placed on the EU terror list as a whole.

Great Britain banned Hezbollah in March, and US Ambassador to Berlin Richard Green welcomed his approval.
In Lebanon, Hezbollah is part of Prime Minister Saad Hariri's special unit
