Becir Krasniqi, says he has price-freer, and for that he has influenced taxes on Serbian products.

High Minister of Statistics Division at the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) Raif Gashi told the Online Economy that there are rising prices of consumer products such as flour, cereals, meat and some other foods.

The monthly <x0) inflation measured by the harmonised consumer price index was 0.2% in November 2019. The annual inflation rate measured in November 2019 by November 2018 was 1.7%. The overall harmonised consumer price index is higher for 0.2% in November 20190).

This is primarily explained with the rise of consumption prices in COI COP subgroups: milk, cheese and eggs 2,2%, vegetables 3%, insurance 19.5%, rising 26% of auto insurance prices led to a 0.1% rise of IHCK, with a combined impact of these subgroups of 0.3 percent in IHK-HCH-E<1>.

Gashi has announced price hikes, one of them even the price of car insurance.

While he says there has been a drop in consumer prices in vegetables and air transport tickets. Gashi also cited the main factors leading to price hikes.

“The hike was largely neutralised by the drop in consumer prices in COCOP subgroups: vegetables -5.0%, use of personal transport equipment -2.3% reduction of oil and gasoline prices, services for transport -5.7%- falling air transport ticket prices with a combined impact of these subgroups -0.5 percent on IHK-it<18x1>.

“The main factors in price hikes are import. Kosovo is about 90% importer of goods from foreign countries. As well as the tax has had an impact on price hikes”, he said.
