Turkey has been forced to intervene militarily in Syria due to the lack of international aid in support of Syrian refugees, Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan said today.
“While we haven't received the aid we expected from the international community, we are obliged to worry about our defence”, Erdogan stressed during the World Forum for Refugees.
“We have started operations on the evacuation of terrorist Islamic State organisations (EI) and the Kurdish forces of YPG and the PKK, located in relevant areas”, he confirmed at the UN meeting in Geneva. /Attish
