There are 11 candidates in the race, three of whom are top contenders to win.
Exactly President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic of the centre-right centre-right Croatian Democratic Union, Zoran Milanovic of the centre-left Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Miroslav Skoro, a popular singer supported by right-wing parties.
The three candidates are expected to win somewhere with about 23 per cent and 25 per cent of the vote.
