US Customs and Border Protection Officers. B. A's stopped a 42-year-old male truck driver, American citizen, about 5:30 pm on Saturday at the San Ysidro Gate, located in the city of San Diego, a statement said.
The agents checked the truck's contents and found 11 Chinese citizens packed inside pieces of furniture and equipment.
The pictures showed at least two people being brought into one washing machine and another embedded inside a wooden shield.
The driver, accused of human smuggling, was arrested and transported to the Metropolitan Correcting Centre to await criminal procedures, the agency said.
All 11 Chinese citizens were also being held in anticipation of criminal and immigration procedures, writes Fox News.
This most recent human smuggling incident comes a month after CBP officers in San Ysidro discovered six Chinese citizens hiding behind a false wall inside another mobile truck run even by an American citizen in an effort to cross the border, the agency said./Periscopi/
