“We are arming ourselves to be strong and prevent any plans against our territory and our coalition”, Borisov said.
He added that it is working at the Belene thermal power plant to maintain a dialogue with Russia and a balance that allows Bulgaria to play a key role in the Black Sea.
We're not doing anything secret. The agreement signed with NATO on the Varna Co-ordination Centre enjoys extraordinary support from the VMROx1> alliance, Borisov said.
Secretary - General NATO said Bulgaria, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary of Alliance membership in 2019, is contributing to common security in many ways, as well as the security of the Black Sea, and added that the security environment in the Black Sea region has changed and that NATO will increase your presence in response.
Stoltenberg welcomed Bulgaria's increased spending on protection to 3.25 per cent of GDP in 2019, ranking Bulgaria among the nine NATO nations that complete expenditures on over 2 per cent of GDP.
They make it NATO is the strongest and most secure Bulgaria, Stoltenberg said.
