The British Embassy in Kosovo has called on these two political subjects Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo to overcome differences between them and form the new Government.
Through a media communique, the British Embassy in Kosovo says that after more than 12 weeks since the October 6th elections, Kosovo needs a new Government.
It has cited urgent issues, such as budget, education and blocked administrative decisions, should be addressed.
“More than 12 weeks since the 6 October elections, Kosovo needs a new government. Emergency issues such as budget, education and blocked administrative decisions must be addressed. Both Vetevendosje and LDK, which have clearly won the elections, must work together to overcome differences between them and form the government that will address the most priority issues of the people of Kosovo”, the report said.
This embassy says respect for voters and Constitution means willing to work sincerely together
“They must do so in the spirit of tolerance, accepting their different approaches to governance. Respect for voters and the Constitution means the will to work sincerely together to show the country that they can offer leadership for change”, said at the end of the announcement.
During the day, United States Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costet has met separately, Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti, as well as Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Isa Mustafa, to be informed about the performance of the possibility of reaching a ruling coalition agreement.
We remember that to date, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has sent three invitations to a consultative meeting to Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti, who is considered the main candidate for Kosovo prime minister. But Kurti has rejected the first two invitations, meanwhile, has responded to the third invitation, saying he could not meet with the president on December 31st and has demanded that this meeting be held on January 6th.
