The OSCE Mission in Kosovo has launched the report “assessment of voluntary return to Kosovo” and documentary film on the return of “to be in your country”.
In this report from post-war until December 2018, only 28 thousand and 111 displaced persons have returned to Kosovo from 220 thousand people who have been displaced from Kosovo during the 1998-99 period due to the conflict and turmoil of 2004.

O mission chief The SEU in Kosovo, Jan Braathu, said the report includes a set of recommendations for the central level and municipalities that are the first point of contacting those who decide to return to Kosovo.
It considered the adoption of the regulation for return of displaced persons and sustainable solutions, which was adopted in 2018.
According to him, the property issue is estimated to be the main obstacle to the return of displaced people to Kosovo.
