Patricia Schultz is the author of the New York Times bestseller “1000 countries to see before you die”, a travel Bible that has been addressed to millions of travelers since first published in 2003.
Reflecting on the many ways in which travel has changed in over 30 years, Schultz notes that social media has brought many less-known countries to light.
I know the world is becoming more accessible. Countries that would be our list of wishes now are”, she said, explaining that Europe, for example, has become a kind of destination “when I'm retired” comparing it to “comfortable”.
You know where people are going? Or even better, where should people go? Keep moving to see the six countries Schultz predicts that will be the next hot spots, where the city of Saranda is part of.
“has a beautiful coastal line and there are many new tourists going there”, Schultz says.
She adds that in Saranda it is also very cheap and a great place to work from a distance.
It's like Georgia, which is more popular and has the same summer history and good food”, Schultz writes.
In addition to Saranda, Schultz ranks Rodeby, Greenland, Salar de Wyun, Bolivia, Uganda, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Moldova.
