“workers Infracosti” protest requires management to give them their salaries

“workers Infracosti” today held an hour-long protest between 0800 and 0900, as there is delay in receiving the pay of September and October.

In addition to the salaries of these two months, workers of this railway company have also sought atonement for the pension brain debt.

Independent Union Chairman “Infracos” Hysen Nikqi said that today, through this one-hour protest, they are expressing the revolt against management, which is not meeting the minimum demands of these workers.

Except for pay and trust, he said it is also required that executive service workers be equipped with uniforms and protective clothing, as well as pay off the Union's membership debts for the past months of 2019.

“Today, we have gathered to express the deep revolt for our treatment that we are being treated because there are two months and more that workers have not received the wages of the entire month's pay of October. [...] We as unions through dialogue with management from time to time have discussed implementing our demands that have been very minimal”, Nikqi said.

Nikqi said the situation is getting worse because for the situation, nobody is taking responsibility and that their demands over the years have run into deaf ears.

Nikqi added that for the demands of the management workers, it is now announced 2 weeks and that if they do not take any action, they will continue on a general strike.

No one has been unfortunately realised for this, so all the labor measures here have been collected. The reasoning is that he has not seen, tools, and the luxury of management never stops with lunch, dinner, cars. [...] Today, the flow of trains across Kosovo's entire territory has been paralyzed. The same will happen Monday and will lead us until the absolute strike of all workers”, the chief unionist said.

Fadil Orllati, track overseer in “Infrakos” said that three months are ready without pay and that they are barely managing to fulfil their obligations to banks.

We're having trouble almost dying and without freezing or drinking this third month without pay is me personally working that 38 years here is 182 euros in credit... The last call yesterday came that if you don't pay the credit, we're going to go with other procedures... no basic conditions currently we don't have at work”, this worker said.

Shaip Nuredini also has criticism of “Infracosit” management. According to him, management is giving no excuse for these salary delays.

Nuredini also has complaints about working conditions.

This malpractice is God's disaster, I take 39 years working the railroad today looking for a mouth bite has taken off... and it doesn't go out and do the least of my reasons for my retirement for five months. This is a disaster, plus drinking water conditions we don't have”, this worker said.

“workers Infracosti” will protest Monday from 8:00 to 10:00, to continue on Tuesday from 8:00 to 12: 00 p.m.
