Under investments in infrastructure regulation in the Podujevo municipality this year, public lighting projects have been implemented on several roads within the city and villages.
The mayor of the Podujevo municipality, Agim Veliu, has made the inauguration of public lighting on the Podujevo-Krepimeh Street, the segment from town to the entrance of the village of Bajcina, at a length of 4km.
In this case Veliu said that implementation of this project and other public lighting projects directly affect the safety of citizens.
“Although this is a regional road, we by means of the municipality have also invested in the construction of sidewalks and in public lighting, without the ministry's help, with the sole aim of the safety of our citizens”, said Chairman Veliu.
Veliu further said public lighting projects have been implemented along several city roads along the magistrate's route to Merdar and a regional road segment in Orlan.
Public lighting projects have been implemented this year on 7 city roads, at a length of 2.6km, and the projects are being carried out on the Podujevo-Merdar magistrate road, the segment from Staff to Merdar, at a length of 2.7km, and a regional stretch of the road in Orlaan at a length of about 1.3km.
