The Constitutional Court in Gjakova on Thursday has sentenced him to two years in prison on bail and 500 euros in fines accused of smuggling migrants, Bashkim Isufi.
Under the trial pronounced by the court's chairman, Judge Shacir Zika, the prison sentence will not be executed unless the accused commits the next criminal act within the verifiating period of two years.
While the defendant is obliged to pay the fine in the 15-day term after the integrity of this act, reports “Justice Vow”.
At the trial hearing held on November 6th, the accused Isufi had pleaded guilty.
In this case, the accused has been Sali Krasniqi, but he, following the plea, by the Constitutional Court in Gjakova in May of this year, was sentenced to two years in prison on bail and 500 euros in fines.
The case against the accused Bashkim Isufi was isolated because of not securing his presence.
According to the indictment of the former District Public Prosecutor in Pec, established on 16 June 2008, the Isufi Union and Sali Krasniqi are charged with criminal work “migration with migrants”, from Article 138, paragraph1, concerning KPP's Article 23.
According to the indictment, on February 16, 2008, in Gjakova, with the aim of illegal property benefits for the accused have participated in smuggling with migrants.
The indictment states that on the critical day of the defendants met with the injured Agron Hoti and his brother, at the bar called “Oita 4” in Gjakova, where the same was agreed on with the amount of money being paid for by 28,000 euros, to send him to Italy, with the cases damaged through his friend, he paid him the amount of 400 euros, and a mobile phone worth 400 euros, all in order to carry him to Italy where he was taken to and started, but stopped by Bosnian police in the Bosnian town of Velkada.
