Family members whose homes have been destroyed in Albania by the most powerful earthquake in decades are awaiting new news as rescue teams continue their search under the rubble.
As a result of this 6.4 magnitude issue, at least 49 people have died.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has said on Friday morning that 25 people have died in Durres, 24 in Thumana and another in Lach.
Teams from Kosovo, Serbia, Italy, France, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey and Croatia are helping research.
Our choices are constantly working. It's a situation, very difficult”, Italian fire service spokesman Luca Cari said about the agency, Ansa nea.
Prime Minister Rama has declared a state of emergency, to enable the creation of funds for Durres and the town of Thumana, which are mostly affected by the earthquake.
Officials have yet to offer figures on how many people may be under the rubble.
The quake occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, when most people were asleep.
Albania lies in the tectonic area of the Adriatic.
In April 1979, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake has hit Albania and neighbouring Montenegro, leaving 136 people dead and more than 1,000 injured.
