The military case of Edward Gallagher, who was convicted of being photographed with a lifeless body, had caused tensions between US military officials and President Donald Trump.
Secretary Esper said he lost confidence in the sea forces chief because his private conversations with White House officials conflicted with his public stance.
However, President Trump said he is not satisfied with the way Gallagher's trial process originated and hinted Spencer was fired for that reason.
On the other hand, the soldier fired through a letter said it is clear that he and President Trump do not share the same view of order and discipline.
Otherwise, before serving as marine chief, Richard Spencer was formerly secretary of defense and deputy secretary of defense. He has a long military career, beginning service in the naval forces since 1976, writes “BBC”, Report Express.
