Requested by the new government to rethink its approach to integration

Given the fact that the process will depend greatly on the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA), Abren Loja, executive director of the Group for Jury and Political Studies (GLPS), has said that additional dynamics are required in implementing reforms for which Kosovo has pledged to the European Union (BE), writes Koha Ditore.

The new government must address the SAA with the highest seriousness and push ahead with reforms that are envisioned with this agreement, and increase efficiency in implementing the measures of the PKZMSA”, the newspaper told Loja. “Also, the new government must have a re-advised approach to integration, with particular emphasis on specific reforms such as rule of law and more active communication with EU states”.

The Democratic Party, which has so far led the ministry, has emerged third in the 6 October elections in the number of votes. Based on public attitudes, it will emerge in opposition, after more than a decade at the executives.

According to the preliminary election result, the Vetevendosje Movement has emerged the first party, followed by the Democratic League. Both these subjects are holding negotiations on building the ruling coalition.
