Prime Minister Edi Rama has condemned President Ilir Meta's attacks on internationals, primarily the US and the EU, from the Parliament's speaker. Rama said these are shameful attacks and that they put Albania in a uncomfortable situation in the face of strategic allies. According to the head of the government, the clash is not between Ilir Meta and the government, but between Ilir Meta and justice.

“Once again the Parliament meets at an extra session with the common history with Ilir Meta. Once again, the impact is not between us and Meta, but between Meta and justice. Once again, for anyone who will understand without entering the deep, we are facing a Parliament with the man who has lost the compass and turned the presidency institution into a grave where he attacks from all four sides, being here 100% on the same US line as the EU.

Of course, it is then easy to understand why, like any other time, Meta does not spare either strategic partners and not the two unspoiled great allies of Albania, the US and the EU, putting us all in an uncomfortable and shameful position because he openly insists that these honorable representations of states that are from the first day of the reform process in justice, promotors and supporters of reform are accused as corrupt. There's no more shame, and after that, I guess there's no need to be extended to explain the reasons that we are brought here and the justice of our decisions, so this time Ilir Meta, but to justice, Rama said. /Open/
