According to the American lawyer for the southern New York region, officers Tova Noel and Michael Thomas did not search Epstein every half hour and faked records to cover their carelessness.
“Sic claims, the defendants were tasked with providing federal prisoners under their care at the Metropolitan Centre of Security”, said the US lawyer, Geoffrey Berman, transmton ATSH.
“instead, they repeatedly failed to conduct checks on prisoners and officially lied to hide violations of the task”, he added.
According to the lawyer's office, both officers surrendered this morning.
