Murdered during protests in Iran

A person has been killed in the Iranian city of Cirian during protests on the night when they were protesting a decision by authorities on increasing the price of oil for at least 50 percent, as part of efforts to offset the effect of US sanctions. “Unfortunately somebody was killed”, Governor Mohammad was quoted as saying [...]

He said the cause of death and whether <x0ndidvidvid was shot or not” was still unclear, adding that other people were injured in Friday's demonstrations.
Mahmodadabad said the “security forces had no permission to shoot and were allowed to shoot only for warning shots, which they did”.
He added that there was a “calm collection” that was exploited by some that “destroyed public property, damaged fuel stations and also wanted to enter the oil company's main fuel depots and set fire to”.
