Through a Facebook post, Kusari-Lila has said that in this marathon I will run for women and the men raped during the recent war in Kosovo.
Some of the names of men and women who were victims and raped in the recent Kosovo war will be on the MP's T-shirt.

Living, healthy, and fortunate to have the opportunity to run the marathon also means doing so for those who cannot be with you.
Tomorrow, I run the New York Marathon for raped women and men during the last war in Kosovo. Many have died, others are alive, and live with the stigma and burden from the past.
Some of the names are printed on my shirt and they'll be with me for 42KM.
Tomorrow, every step of mine for 42 KM to life to give voice and support.
You're not alone and we hear your voice. The UN Security Council must include Kosovo victims in their report.
