The law tasked Haradinaj's Thaci with appointing new chief of AKI

The appointment of chief of AKI is made within the legal obligation, where under the Law for the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), Article 5, the president of the Republic of Kosovo, together with the prime minister, appoints the AKI director within twenty days of work from the day the position remains at large.
“The president of the Republic of Kosovo, together with the prime minister, appoints the AKI Director within twenty (20) working days of the day when the position remains at large”, the Law on AKI says.

Otherwise, former AKI chief Shpend Maxun has resigned on November 6th.
