Kurti's idea endangers public hospitals

In northern Macedonia, the health system is also organised in a public but private way. The idea of choosing in public or in private is being considered dangerous for the public health sector, as such a decision could lead to the departure of health workers from the public sector, declared for KosovaPress, doctors and [...]
The chairman of the Union Health Federation, Blerim Syla, says even the Constitution of Kosovo, gives medical workers the right to work in the two sectors.
The eye has told Kosovas, that while the public health sector is still not at the desired level, there is a need for patients to still receive medical services from the private sector.
You can't ask today for an expert doctor who has at least 13 years of professional school performed at least 600 or 750 euros, or even 1,200 euros that will be made to serve the public system alone. So I consider that financial and working conditions should be very well expounded because without conditions of work we can't get out of”, he said.
Kosovo's leading health economist, considering doctors' salaries as a misery, says there is a danger that they will choose the private sector over that public and public hospitals to remain without medical framework.
There's another risk here of a great lack of doctors who we have to assume in the CKUK if this is happening, then I'm afraid that doctors who have experience will go where they're better, where they're paid even better, and with a case where the population is more than eager to receive service in the public system, it's good to think about how to keep these vaults and not so let them go “, Syla stressed.
Thoughts similar to Syla divides gynecologist Jakup Ismaili, who for KosovaPress, says that if Kurti's idea is applied, then the patients will most of the time be affected.
According to him, because of their low salary, doctors will leave for the private sector because they have better incomes.
With this salary, with this situation, with revenues of 600-700 euros to determine, I think it's probably a quick move that I have the impression that all those doctors who have respect and name will leave the public sector go to the private sector. I have the impression that more patients will suffer and if it were a dignified salary, each of us would be defined for the public sector”, Ismaili says.
The chairman of the Association of Albanian Doctors in Northern Macedonia, Nevzat Elezi, told Kosovo Press that in Northern Macedonia, the health system is organised in public but also private terms.
Patients in this state of the region can receive primary and secondary services from the same doctors in the public sector as well.
Elez says that as far as public health services are concerned, it is only organised at the public level.
We are organized into private and public ones. In the private system, it starts with that the primary sector where we have family doctors or mother doctors are organized in the way everyone works in private. The primary health system doesn't have a public system, but it's all private patients choose a doctor side who then do all the services in prescription writing, giving instructions to specialists. But it's not only this one organised in private, but we also have different specializations of surgery, general interventions, pediatrics, all of which are able to be organised in private and state terms. The secondary sector for secondary protection is organised and in public and private, and the same services they do in public places in public hospitals have the opportunity according to the conditions they offer they can provide services both public and private”, Elez said.
The opinion of Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti, who on the basis of the CEC's preliminary results, will be the next prime minister of the Government of Kosovo, is emerging to be problematic and to be implemented on constitutional grounds. This, after a group of deputies had been sent to the Constitution in 2013, Article 41 of the Health Law, which asked doctors to determine whether they want to work in public or in private, but the constitution, referring to these provisions, had made the decision that these articles are inconsistent with the 49th Article of the Constitution that speaks of the Labour and Profesion Army.
