In this case, Japan's Embassy in Austria and the Japanese Foundation with support of Japan Tobacco International (JTI) will be co-ordinators of the five-day Japanese culture event “Japanese Yava”, from 6 November to 10 November in Kino Armata in Pristina.
Japanese music concerts will be held today and tomorrow by Sumie Kaneko, the performer of the New York-based Japanese instruments Koto and Shamisen, and Takuya Taniguchi, the Munich-based drummer Taiko.
Both musicians are not only masters of their traditional Japanese instruments but also pioneers in their use of contemporary and experimental music.
For the first time in Kosovo, the audience will have the opportunity to taste the powerful sound of ancient Japanese batteries along with traditional instruments of Shamisen and Koto wire.
