In a statement published on the US Embassy's website in Berlin, “ne reportedly welcomes the initiative for “mini-Sengen” of the Western Balkans as a way to start free movement of people and goods. We believe that this initiative will succeed, it should include all in the region, including the Kosovo government. The Trump administration is focused on helping the entire region create economic opportunities and jobs for youth”, said the statement, broadcast VOA.
A joint initiative of leaders of the three Balkan countries -- Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia -- for a Balkan Schengen -- sparked remote reactions and clashes between Pristina and Tirana.
On the following Sunday in Ohrid, the next meeting was held that followed that of October 10th, which was held in Novi Sad, and Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina were invited there.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama criticised Kosovo for belonging, while stressing that the initiative is aimed at only free movement of people throughout the Western Balkans region.
