Save the Children in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and the Pedagogical Institute have organised the international conference “The waste of care, development and education in early childhood”, where it was said that for early childhood in Kosovo, there has not been enough.
Ahmet Kryeziu, director of Save and Children in Kosovo, said that through their projects they have gradually increased the quality and availability of early childhood services.
Laberie Luzha from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said Kosovo has developed much legislation that protects children but, according to her, the challenge remains the need for physical forms and alternative ways of crying in early childhood services.
According to her, investing in early childhood is an investment in the future of a state, so she recommended providing adequate programs that help develop early childhood education.
Merita Vuthaj, leader of the Mother and Child Health Division, near the Ministry of Health, asked for greater investment in health services for early childhood, as that challenge said remains the large infant mortality in Kosovo.
She said how the minister has managed to extend house visits to 22 municipalities and train over 600 medical, social and educators.
Nezir Chocaj from the Kosovo Pedagogical Institute said the IPK is aiming for investment and continued development in the early education system by raising at the collective level and contemporary standards.
He said the Institute has done pre-school education research affecting the quality of education in children.
At this conference present was the representative from the European Union office in Kosovo, Hillen Francke, who said alarming results have been the test results. P The ISA, which is ranked below Kosovo, and according to it, shows Kosovo's interest in early childhood.
Franzke said there is a huge gap between skills and what the education system produces in Kosovo.
She asked the future government to prioritize education in early childhood.
Also, representatives of all early - childhood institutions and professionals were at the conference.
The International Conference “Implementation of Care, Development and Education in Early Child” will continue during tomorrow.
