After nearly two months, the Central Election Commission has accepted 392 packages of paper from the diaspora.
The news about Periscop has confirmed the CEC's information official, Valmir Elez, who has said that concerning the packages in question, PZAP has been informed.
I can confirm that the CEC has replied to PZAP, where we have explained what it is to do with these packages that were accepted on November 12th. We don't have anything else now”.
Periscope has secured Vetevendosje's complaint document, through which he also mentions the October 30th ruling by the Supreme Court to count 4639 packages with voter ballotes outside Kosovo.
Do not count these ballot papers on the part of the CEC Secretariat, without vetting or counting 392 packages sent by mail within legal terms, by citizens living abroad, constitutes illegal and anti-competitive action, the VVCH complaint reported.
Periscop tried to contact someone from the CEC, but he didn't get an answer.
Vetevendosje even weeks ago had voiced complaint with the Supreme Court in order to count all votes coming from the diaspora. As a result, this court had approved their request.
Currently, the Voter Counting Centre is recounting contested votes, while expected Monday to complete this process. The CEC has warned that with certificate will emerge over the next week, but if it is decided to count even these 392 votes, this process will continue to drag on.
