This meeting was largely dedicated to preparations for the important meeting of the heads of state and government of NATO member states, to be held in London on 3-4 December this year.
The foreign ministers of the Allied countries addressed core issues related to NATO's future, such as the issue of defence budgets and challenges to cyber threats and the fight against terrorism.
“in the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Atlantic Alliance and the 10th anniversary of our country's membership in NATO, Albania firmly adheres to its commitments under the Alliance's efforts for mutual protection and security”, Cakaj said in his address.
Stopping on the issue of increasing the defence budget, Minister Cakaj stressed that our country has taken important steps in implementing the commitments of the Summit of Wales, Warsaw and Brussels to achieve the objectives of increasing the defence budget to 2% by 2024. / A T S/
