ETEA, which has built these minibibliotecas, has stressed that from the current experience, they have realized that minibliotists are at high risk in the first few days, and this appears to be due to the human factor's excessive curiosity, the inability of this one to accept the new one, and the inability to care for and assess common property.
Full response:
Dear citizens,
Of the residents of the Sun “Breg on November 21, 2019, and “Lagia Hospital”, we have acknowledged reports that minibibliothets of these two neighbourhoods that were inaugurated on November 21st 2019 were damaged and misused, one was attacked with stones and broken windows, while the other was left without a book.
From the current experience, we have found that minibibliothets are in high risk in the first few days, and this seems to come from the excessive curiosity of the human factor, the inability of the latter to accept the new, and the inability of insensibility to care for and assess common property. In short, until minibibliotacts become part of everydayity as in the neighborhoods “dania” and “Ulpiana” They will be damaged and/or misused.
Therefore, we have already taken the necessary measures by first announcing the Kosovo Police and monitoring cameras to identify the person who has done these inappropriate acts, with whom we will start the necessary judicial procedures.
Cases in the Kosovo Police have been named criminal acts: Harassment of property and heavy theft.
After completing the legal procedures, we have the opportunity to announce the contributing community and readers that we will be organized to make the soon refueling of minibiblic books at “Hospital sector” and the renovation of the minibiblioteca in the Sun <x2Breg”.
We take the opportunity to thank the cultured citizens who are caring for the minibibliotheques, their co-operation, and their willingness to contribute to all aspects of the maintenance and functioning of the minibibliotecas.
We're all aware that readers have less, but the power of knowledge is greater than any other deconstructive force. So, as we have said before, minibibliothets will be built. Even if minibibliothets are destroyed, they will be rebuilt until the destroyers become readers.
I'll see you soon at the opening of minibibliotheques at “Mother Terezès”, Lagen “Qafa”, Takbahce, Square “Adamem Jasari”, University Campus, Lagen “Arberia” and Pristina Town City Park.
