The U.S. Geological service, named one of the world's most creditables, reports on the earthquake in Albania, which stood 6.4 degrees in Riterre.
The quake has awakened the interest of various international media in connection with their countries' eventual impact.
The British newspaper Express has discovered several different details about the case, writes Periscopi.
The first thing that is explained is that Albania is not threatened by tsunamis and there has been no warning of big waves.
But is Albania in the so-called “Fire Ring”?
“Albania is not in the Fire Ring, a notorious ring at the Pacific base, with intense seismic activity. About 90 percent of all earthquakes occur in the fire ring. However, seismic activity can occur anywhere, and Albania has experienced earthquakes in the past”.
“Sic is seen on the following map, Albania is close to the line of the tectonic plaque passing below Italy, making the region sensitive to fluctuations”.
Furthermore, the British Express explains its readers that Albania is the poorest country in Europe. /Periscope
