Xhaferi, ahead of those present at the Southeast European Peace Summit in Tirana, declared that Balkan states together are more powerful.
The signing of the United Nations Charter is a guarantee of world peace and security. Maintaining this peace is the duty of every man, Southeast Europe has a turbulative history that leaves no one task for”.
“What it looks like is slowly but it's definitely overcoming harmful symptoms, we only need the will for co-operation and support of each other, as countries we're not attractive, but as the region we are very much able and our citizens deserve more, together we are more powerful”.
“Since the day North Macedonia's independence was declared, as a state we defined our ways for EU and NATO membership”.
The Republic of Northern Macedonia is continuing to work hard in the area of advancing good neighbourly relations, because we believe only honest approach to disputes and open issues and maintaining political dialogue to the depletion of all possibilities can lead to acceptable compromise on the parties”.
“As a result, it was the signing of the neighbourly agreement with Bulgaria, and with Greece exceeding the multi-year context that hindered us from integration into NATO and the EU. And now that this process has been unblocked, we hope to become the 30th member by the end of the year. NATO”
“While in terms of EU membership, the situation is different than expected, Albania lives the same fate as we do in this regard. I come here from Strasbourg where I was a participant at the European Conference of Parliament Speakers, there I held meetings with the European Parliament Speaker and other Eurodeputs”.
During conversations with them, she told them repeatedly that support for our Eurointegration continues. We have been wronged but we dare not lose hope and that we must follow the same path of meeting the criteria, or making reforms”.
