Tirana Council of Peace Summit

At the opening of the summit, it was said the main goal is peace and security in the region. Albania's former president, Alfred Moisiu, said Albania has a large number of people who are peace ambassadors, which according to him shows they continue to be supporters of peace initiatives.

The more people get closer, the more they talk to each other, the better. And this is also a goal of this summit, but our most special concern is for youth which is the future of every nation and youth's problems are a deliberate part of our target”, Moisiu said.

He said the main goal is peace and security in the region. Moisiu said the goal of the summit is for people to meet and draw closer.

And the American diplomat, and former ambassador to several countries in the region, Christopher Hill, recalled 1991 when he was in Albania for the first time, where he said that the world Albania was different and with numerous problems, which, according to him today, is another situation in the country.

He said Albania has put aside some of the internal problems and worked with others to move on.

This conference is timely, there are many things happening in the world as far as problems are concerned with states, with the hearts of people, and there is a lot of work to be done. I tell our students don't worry and I tell them they're gonna have a lot of problems that we're gonna let you solve”, Ambassador Hill said.

He said there should be obstacles and issues to resolve.

We remember that this summit, which will last until the 27th of this month, is organised by the Universal Peace Federation, as part of an ongoing series of summits around the world that support interdependence, mutual prosperity and universal values. This summit has a wide audience of peace ambassadors and personalities different from around the world.
