US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, accused Kurdish forces in a Twitter post of releasing I fighters SIS from prisons, to promote the involvement of the United States in combat. He continues to call a wise move, the withdrawal of American troops from northern Syria while warning major sanctions for Turkey.
On the other hand, French President Emannuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed the necessity of co-ordination to prevent Turkey from causing what they call an unaffordable humanitarian situation.
Syrian state news agency SANA reported on the entry of Syrian and Kurdish troops to Tal Tamr, about 20km from the border, with the aim of confronting Turkish aggression, these movements welcomed by residents.
The agreement between Kurds, Syrians and Russians, who are Syria's main ally, came four days after the Turkish forces' operation against Kurds in northern Syria, after the US withdrew almost all troops from the country. Turkey views Kurdish fighters as terrorists linked to separatists in Turkey.
Military intervention has caused civilian casualties. But this is not the only problem caused by conflict.
Kurdish prison guards, due to the fighting, are leaving I's fighters unsupervised. The SIS, a part of which have already fled from camps where they were being held along with their families, Syrian Kurds officials say.
But these statements seem to have failed to convince US President Donald Trump, who in a Twitter post accused Kurds of releasing ISIS members.
“ ...The Kurds can release some, just to include us. It can easily be recaped by the Turks or European countries where they came from, but quick action is needed. Major sanctions are coming for Turkey! Do people really think we should go to war with NATO member Turkey? Endless wars will end”, wrote President Turmp on his Twitter account today.
But today through his Twitter account, President Trump said the same “people that include the United States in the Middle East chaos are the ones that are asking us to stay there”.
It also accuses European countries of trying to bill the United States the return price of ISIS fighters, who say they have so far been able to take their seats.
Meanwhile, French President Emannuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a joint conference that Turkey risks causing an unaffordable humanitarian crisis.
On one hand, this offensive risks creating a humanitarian crisis that we can only see. On the other hand, it risks helping resurface the Islamic State in the region. As we announced to Turkey that we will stop selling weapons, we continue to be co-ordinated for other initiatives in the hours and days ahead --”Said French President Emannuel Macro.
“Today I spoke to President Erdogan for an hour. Of course we should have in common the Turkes ' interest in security, but we also think we should prevent Turkish intervention, for humanitarian reasons. We can't accept this situation, so we have to figure out”, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Kurds say they feel abandoned by the United States, as they fought side by side with American forces against Islamic State extremists in Syria. They believe that the Arab world and the UN Security Council are ignoring them.
President Trump said he is working with the leaders of Congress, including the opposition Democrats, in imposing strong economic sanctions against Turkey.
