In the article, writes Kurti and Vuciq, although they have opposing positions in politics, the second at least oppose the Kosovo flag.

“In no red-and-black way and no eagle”, according to an urban legend in Pristina, the US ambassador in 2007 gave instructions that the Kosovo flag should not contain these two details, in fact, the design competition said it should avoid similarities with the flags of Albania and Serbia, in order to emphasise independence”- writes Swiss newspapers.

Author Folker Pabst's writing, writes that Serbs do not identify with this flag, and Albanians prefer the two-headed red and black flag.

“Falur has always been controversial. The majority of Kosovo Serbs are not identified with the state or its symbols, and the Albanian majority of the population see this point with patriotic sentiment of the two-headed flag”.

Albin Kurti, who has won the October 6th snap elections with the subject leading the Vetevendosje Movement, has declared he would recognise the flag.

Meeting with the British ambassador to LVV's office saw the red and black flag, which also sparked the reaction of Serbia's president.
