This happened at the Materniadade Hospital Dona Evangelin Rosa in Teresina, located in the state of Piaui in northeast Brazil.
On Friday, October 4, the hospital was left without electricity at 1: 00 p.m. She fled because of the storm storms that hit this part of the country.
The generators in the hospital didn't start immediately because the system didn't understand that power distribution was out.
The hospital said as follows:
After a few power cuts at the operating center, the generator went off and we continued to function normally. ”
Electricity distribution problems still exist in this part of Brazil, but the hospital is operating thanks to generators.
The president of the Union of Doctors, Samuel Moreira Rego, confirmed through social media that his colleagues were using light on their mobile phones when energy failure occurred.
“Until when managers will neglect the public health system? Doctors are overloaded. They work under stress to save someone”, Rego said.
