Recount 408 locations, there may be other recounts

Although CNR officials have said that the process is going smoothly, some observers have told Kosovas Press that there are about 450 unusable ballot papers missing at a poll in Scipian Runik.

QNR co-ordinator Burim Ahmetaj said that so far the recount process is continuing smoothly, until in terms of lack of balloting in Runik, he says they do not possess such information.

Ahmetaj: The recount process is running normally

The process is normally running, during these two days we're going to try to complete this process so that we can keep counting on bail and people with special needs... we don't have any information like this, but whatever we are in the recount process, we're going to look at all the cases and every chance, any difference if we see any such margin, then the investigation case will be opened and the report will be released at the base of the findings. But, right now we don't have any such cases, but anyway, all these cases will be considered if there are and we will prepare the report for them”, he said.

Ahmetaj says that according to all likelihood the process of recounting 529 deployments will be completed by Thursday.

Ahmetaj: We believe this process will be completed by Thursday.

“We believe that by Thursday this process will be completed, then we will begin with the process of counting on bail and with special needs”, he said.

Co-ordinator Ahmetaj said he has not dismissed the possibility that the CNR will propose other options to recount.

Ahmetaj: Excluded the possibility of a recounting vote

“The largest turnout due to disagreement in the database has already been brought here to recount. That's the most general part, most of which has had problems. We don't actually have a vote that may have problems of the same nature, but before all the results are finalised we'll do all the checks of over 250 thousand deployments, whether of subjects or candidates, so we have all the results and accurate data. It's not ruled out that any decision can come out of these checks, but in this amount what we've had so far will not be. After we do the checks, we'll see that everything fits then maybe it won't, but it might even have”, he said.

By contrast, from 529 deployments to the recount, 149 countries have gone to a recount because the note has been incorrect of political subjects, while 24 technically troubled locations that have not been processed at the database.

Also, there have been 81 ballots in the recounting, where the subject has not had votes while candidates have had votes, then 89 positions are recounted, as the candidate has more votes than the subject and 187 where candidates have more votes than the subject.

The number of conditional votes at the country level is about 26 thousand and 400, while those with special needs are about 2 thousand and 150. These votes will be subject to checks, comparisons and verifications with fair voters and then clear how many of them are approved and how rejected. Only approved ballots are counted.
