The only 60-year-old Malt Macalan 1926 was estimated to be sold between the price of 350,000 and 450,000.
Sotheby's, who conducted the auction, did not reveal the identity of the buyer.
The previous auction record for a single bottle of Scotland was 1.2 million pounds, set by another bottle from the same ark in November last year.
