The quake, which according to local authorities had 6.3 magnitudes on the Richter scale, caused power cuts and the exit of people from the residences. Authorities reported that four people needed medical assistance.
We got reports of damage, but we're still checking. At this moment, we are relatively good”, said the mayor of the town of Kidapawan, Joseph Evangelista, in a radio interview.
The quake occurred about 7:30 p.m. There's no warning about tsunamis.
