The last meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong was over without a deal.
Little progress in relations between the two countries has since been noted, though the parties have insisted they want to continue negotiations.
New talks are under way a few days after testing a new missile from North Korea, which was assessed as a significant step in testing nuclear weapons.
By contrast, the United Nations Security Council has banned North Korea through resolutions to launch ballistic missiles. Moreover, this country is suffering the sanctions of the United States and the UN because of its nuclear programme.
Talks between the two nuclear powers are under way on the island of Lidingo, which extends near Stockholm. The special representative of the United States, Stephen Bieg, and North Korean representative Kim Ming Gil are expected to meet among themselves, writes “BBC”, Report Express.
