Last news: Ramush Haradinaj resigns even from MP position

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has told Gazeta today that he will not be an MP in the Kosovo Assembly.

The incumbent prime minister's party, along with the PSD) according to preliminary results, has emerged as the fourth in the October 6th parliamentary elections, winning 11.57 per cent.

The full results of MPs' votes have yet to come up, but of those stemming from the Central Election Commission, Haradinaj is seen as the owner of the list, there are thousands of votes in various cities.

Haradinaj will not be part of the seventh legislature, while even before he had left the Assembly.

In February 2016, the leader of the Alliance had handed over his mandate to the MP after the discontent he had at the time with the work of this institution.

“Seeing that the Assembly of Kosovo has become an institution for covering constitutional violations the government has made; seeing that the Parliament has turned into a country where MPs on political orders are dragged by police; and seeing the arbitrary expulsion of opposition deputies from the Parliament, I give irrevocable resignations from the mandate of the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo deputy<1> justified Haradinaj.

From September 2017 to July of this year, when he resigned, Haradinaj led Government from the elections won in coalition with the PDK and the Initiative. /Express/
