The accident occurred due to technical problems, the Afghan Army reported, adding that the helicopter crashed during a forced landing effort, Kosovo Press broadcasts.

Afghan military and air forces use Russian MI-17 helicopters to transport troops to war-torn countries, where convoys are in constant danger of attack by Taliban militants.
