The event, once, also marks the most tragic event in post-war Kosovo. In memory of this tragedy, there have today been prayers at the university cemetery in Malisheva.
This is the most painful day for all of us and the most painful event for all of us, since on this date, 15 years ago we lost 15 young men, 15 seniors. It was God's will that they leave this world, all together in one place, so their burial was made in one place. It was the most painful event for us all, and we will always remember”, said among other things, the mayor of Malisheva municipality, Ragip Begaj, in his address to the families of the 15 seniors.
While former high school director Januz Kastrati, in his address, said that “this anniversary is unique, as the two numbers match, the number of 15 seniors and the 15th anniversary of their separation from life”.
It was a hard experience because families lost their loved ones, and we lost 15 seniors, and Malisheva lost 15 people. In all this tragedy, it was spiritual ease to see people coming from all Albanian lands. Allow me to convey to you today the most sincere condolences, beginning with the families, mayors, high school and all the citizens of Malisheva”, Kastrati said.
On October 14, 2004, on their return from the trip to Albania, in a traffic accident, Berat Suka, Esat Hajrullahu, Elgad Zabelaj, Mifail Morina, Rifat Hoxha, Jevdet Sertalli, Visar Caffegill, Agron Berisha, Ajet N wheremanaj, Esat Rejaj, Labinot Morina, Lulzim Kastrati, Megzon Sadiku, Rhuyt Ulluri, and Ghehtzit Sahtt Sayt, all seniors from Malieva.
