Kurti said this during an Albuk television interview showing that the purpose of his visit to the United Kingdom was to hold a lecture with students to meet fellow travellers for meetings with British Parliament deputies and senior foreign affairs ministry officials.
Our argument is to inform them as much of our plans in our new government, and the deepening bilateral co-operation between two countries and friendly peoples, given that the United Kingdom has helped us a lot both in war and in peace, both for development and justice, and for the democratisation of Kosovo”, Kurti said.
He also stated that he wants our fellow countrymen to have dual citizenship wherever they are, so he promised to engage in bilateral talks with governments in countries where our exile is.
We wanted them to have the right to vote in embassies and consulates, through our diplomatic representations. And also, we want our exile to even invest in Kosovo. But I also provide the best Albanian-language educators for them so that the children of our countrymen can have an integration without absorption. This is our goal as a new government. For our sake with the dandant should be continuous, not only in the election fields, but all the time, because every third citizen of our Republic is virtually no longer an inhabitant. Since migration has not stopped either liberation or the declaration of independence, we will launch our brain return campaign, we need to know even the experiences of our exile, not just for their remittances”, he said.
Kurti demonstrated his goal of claiming that the Albanian nation in the Balkans will be factored. He stressed that our exile is abroad, within the nation. And that's why we want the government of the Republic of Kosovo, in collaboration with that of Albania, to help as many of our countrymen, who are the most powerful embassy our nation has. In that sense we want to make the steps of integration, rapprochement, co-operation towards joining Albania, as the first and most important step, the largest of the Albanian national union”, Kurti said.
He explained that all considerations towards this grand goal would be democratic and peaceful, constitutionally, legally, including the issue of symbols in a future.
