Signing this protocol was conducted by Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalaj and Northern Macedonia Police Director Sasho Tasevki. This protocol was signed under the agreement between the two governments for police co-operation.
In this case, incumbent Minister of Internal Affairs Ekrem Mustafa said signing this protocol between the two countries is a continuation of the very good co-operation Kosovo and Macedonia have in the area of security.
Kosovo and Macedonia contribute to the establishment of security, with the goal of creating a safer environment for the region. The two countries are becoming the model of co-operation, which must be expanded further on the level of regional co-operation, as well as with other states”, he said.
Otherwise, the joint task force aims to boost direct co-operation between the two countries to eliminate various risks to order and public safety, the fight against organised crime, terrorism and cross-border crimes.
