The official Pristina has received the international message that it will not go out of its way to join this year in the International Police Organisation (INTERPOL), but at the insistence of incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, so far has not withdrawn the app it has deposited since January.
One of Haradinaj's deputy has told the paper that the prime minister's stubbornness in office would cost Kosovo “spectacular punishment”.
INTERPOL has accepted that Kosovo's request be included in the organisation's General Assembly agenda, which is held in Chile next week, writes Koha Ditore. Angola will be the reporting country, which has been taken at the request launched by Pristina. The state of Kosovo is not recognised by either of these two countries.
But this represents only one of the barriers Kosovo has to travel towards membership.
One of the five deputy prime ministers, who has spoken on condition of anonymity for the Time Ditore, has said the cause of the political context in which the country is located, is almost impossible to reap any success in any membership process.
