Through this work, the Creators invite all girls to be part of the present formation and symbolically to seal up an equal future for them and for future generations.
The author of the mural Alketa Xhafa-Mripa said that the reason for the work was accomplished is all the young girls and that the work belongs to all the girls who contributed to the work with their sayings.
And the beauty of this is that tonight the same saying has been presented to me in the government's object, all the sayings will be directed where we should, heard these sayings, at the same time you see them as seals, because we see the seal as the hand of the male, but now we've taken power, you've got”, said Mripa.
Those present also addressed the United Nations Development Co-ordinator in Kosovo, Ulrika Richardson, who excited that the dreams of young girls will become reality even though the road is long. Among other things, she added that the change is coming and why the process towards change is laborious.
“Somebody can actually ask what we're actually doing in fact if we look around unfortunately we don't have 50% of the women in parliament, we don't have more than 10 countries in the world who have 50% of women in government cabinets, we stay very bad in this respect”, Richardason said.
We remember that October 11th has been defined as “International Days of Girls”, by the United Nations Organization in 2012 for the first time. This international day aims to promote equal treatment and opportunities for girls worldwide in such areas as law, nutrition, health care, education, treatment, and others.
The global slogan on which International Girls' Day is being marked is “The girls' campaign: Unwritten and unstoppable”
