More than 2,000 farmers have entered the country's highways claiming they are not guilty of climate change, according to the Dutch Transport Ministry.
Protesters reportedly caused traffic jams that reached over 1,000 miles [15,000 km].
In particular, protesters claim to have been unfairly identified for landwarming nitrogen emissions, which has become a very controversial topic in Dutch politics.
Protest organisers said they expect a turnout of more than 10,000 people at the rally towards The Hague.
